What is Yoga and why we offer it?
Through years of experience and personal studies we have come to understand that putting breath with movement, and tuning into the body for healing and alignment is key to optimizing wellness!
Yoga was developed up to 5,000 years ago in India as a comprehensive system for wellbeing on all levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Today, many millions of people use various aspects of Yoga to help raise their quality of life in such diverse areas as fitness, stress relief, wellness, vitality, mental clarity, healing, peace of mind and spiritual growth.
The word “yoga” comes from the Sanskrit word “yogah,” which means “to yoke or to unite.” Put another way, yoga is the means by which the user’s mind is merged into the universal mind.
