The Traveling Therapist
8 CE Hours Upon Approval

This course is designed to walk massage therapists through the process of seeing clients on the go, whether in their home, their business, or community events! Students will leave with the confidence and skills to be a successful traveling massage therapist! In this course students discuss and become confident in the logistics of scheduling the mobile massage session, preparing and packing for the session, structuring the session, including intake, client assessment, session lengths, pricing, checking-out, and rebooking.

This course briefly covers how to best prepare yourself for the session, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Topics covered include body mechanics, segment intending, mental dumping, what to do while the client is getting on the table, how to remain present and regulated, and the importance of awareness and breath!
Students will briefly learn, practice, and receive massage techniques to use during the massage session that will promote optimal results for the client and the therapist. These techniques include a basic introduction to aspects of Thai massage, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, conscious body work, and release and recheck.
Students will leave confident in providing the mobile massage, and will be proficient in integrating these modalities into practice for immediate use with clients as a traveling therapist.
